With extensive experience in the food industry as a contract and organic copacker, our Quality Assurance team maintains a multi-layered system of quality control processes to protect your product integrity even prior to entering our door. At InterPac, quality control happens continually, on every shift in every area of our facility. As a food processing copacker with stringent quality standards, quality protection begins at the front door
- Our customers provide ingredient samples, product specifications and an approved vendor list prior to the first shipment.
- Upon shipment, every ingredient is sampled and compared to the pre-approved ingredient samples and vendor list before we allow it to be taken off the truck.
- Ingredients are documented according to lot number, date, and product number and strategically stored according to allergen characteristics and protective requirements.
Your contract packer committed quality in the blending process
Our state-of-the-art blending equipment and tightly controlled processes enable us to accurately scale batch size up or down according to your need, ensuring batch consistency and accuracy. As your contract packer, InterPac tests every blend against pre-approved samples to ensure compliance with customer specifications:
- Ingredients for each blend are pulled according to FIFO (first-in-first-out) sequencing and staged for blending.
- Prior to the blending process, each ingredient is again sampled against the pre-approved ingredient samples.
- After the blending process, the blend is sampled and compared to the pre-approved blend samples. Lot numbers of each ingredient are then integrated into a new lot number for each blend so that every ingredient of every blend can be traced. Blend samples are replaced every three months.
